The College Automotive Program (CAP) is available in 27 colleges and universities nationwide. The purpose of CAP is to provide Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealers with technicians that receive extensive automotive training and product knowledge while earning their college degree.
While attending CAP, students learn exclusively on Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles, and utilize tools, equipment and diagnostic processes that are used every day
by technicians currently working in our Chrysler Dealer Network
. In as little as 18 months and 90 credit hours, students earn a 2-year Associates Degree in Automotive Technology (or equivalent).
In addition to the college education, students receive “real life” experiences while completing internships at their sponsoring dealerships, further improving their education process with CAP. As the student rotates between the college and dealer internship periods they
establish a great working relationship with their dealer sponsor and develop the much needed product knowledge required to be successful in the automotive service industry
.
Upon completion of CAP many graduates complete and receive training credit for many courses in the Chrysler Technical Training Skill Core Curriculum. In fact, it is not uncommon for CAP graduates to receive training credit up to level 3 courses in many of the Chrysler Technical Training Skill Core Curriculum skill areas.
