Admission

College Automotive Program (CAP) The overall purpose of CAP is to train and employ the finest technicians for employment in Chrysler Group dealerships. To meet this need, prospective students must have the proper qualifications to be successful, qualifications such as a high school diploma, transcripts or certificate of high equivalency (general education degree – GED). Specific student enrollment requirements are determined by each CAP college/university.

In many CAP Colleges the student/applicant must also pass a college entrance exam as well as a mechanical aptitude test. In addition, many dealerships that sponsor CAP students require the following from the student (potential employee) before they will consider sponsoring students in CAP:
    • Proof of a good driving record.
    • Submit to an initial drug test.
Consequently, many CAP Colleges have included the same requirements for potential students as part of the college enrollment process.

Refer to the CAP College of your choice for the college’s specific requirements on the "Colleges" tab on the top of the page.
