Upon graduation from the Chrysler College Automotive Program (CAP), the CAP student is employed by the sponsoring dealership full-time. Research has shown that 10 years after graduation 70% of CAP graduates are still employed at a Chrysler dealership, 40% of those are employed at their sponsoring dealers.
The automotive service industry has taken on a new sophistication, one that requires advanced technical training and computer literacy. To be successful in today’s automotive service industry technicians must have:
Strong computer, business and math skills.
Thorough knowledge of automotive systems and components.
Excellent communication skills.
Above average mechanical aptitude.
Process thinking skills.
Ability to read and follow instructions as well as manual dexterity.
